kcalWe set out to make a smoothie that tastes like our wedding cake. The lemon, lavender, and pistachio translated so well into a totally unique shake. We’re talking about a sophisticated taste experience. And still, you get the nutritious elements such as spinach and oats, making it both indulgent and good for you. Incredibly tasty, this shake is perfect for special occasions or as a luxurious breakfast.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups (360 ml) milk of choice
1 scoop (30 g) vanilla protein powder
1 whole frozen banana
1/4 cup (30 g) shelled pistachios
1/4 teaspoon dried, edible lavender
1 small lemon slice with peel
1 whole pitted date
1/4 cup (23 g) rolled oats
1/2 cup (15 g) spinach
3/4 cup (158 g) ice cubes
Directions
- Add all ingredients to a high-performance blender in the order listed.
- Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds until smooth.
- Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

I dont own a vitamix yet, but Id like to try this! What can I substitute for the oats?
Chia seeds work fairly well for binding and thickening. Squash, too. Or, just skip ’em!
